Chris Coaching AuDHD
It’s not always easy to find coaching that fits your specific needs. Sometimes it’s not clear what coaching is, how much it costs, or who it’s really for.
My name is Chris Beames, and on this website I aim to answer those questions and give you the opportunity to consider whether my coaching is a good fit for you and what you are looking for.
What I Offer
I offer structured, psychoeducational coaching for adults who identify as having ADHD, low-support-needs Autism, or both (AuDHD).
My coaching is particularly suited to people who feel they would benefit from support delivered through an AuDHD-informed lens, as this is my area of lived experience and focus.
That said, you do not need to identify as AuDHD to work with me. You are welcome if this approach feels helpful and relevant to you.
My coaching is designed for people who feel stuck in cycles of overwhelm, burnout, or inconsistency. Especially those who have spent years trying to push through without fully understanding how their brain and nervous system actually work.
Many of the people I work with are late-identified or late-diagnosed, and have experienced the mental strain of not having the language to explain their difficulties. This often leads to self-blame, confusion, or feeling like they are failing at things that seem easier for others.
A Lived-Experience Approach
I don’t approach this work lightly.
My coaching is grounded in:
Lived experience
I am AuDHD myself and was diagnosed later in life. I understand first-hand what it is like to navigate work and wellbeing without the right support or understanding.
Professional background
I have over 10 years of experience working in further education as a lecturer and learning advisor. I hold a First Class Honours degree in Psychology and a Welsh Government recognised coaching qualification.
This combination allows me to bring both personal understanding and structured guidance into the coaching process.
What This Coaching Focuses On
My coaching is structured and resource-based.
It focuses on:
• understanding neurodivergent experiences
• developing a shared language for those experiences
• making sense of patterns such as burnout, overwhelm, and inconsistency
• exploring practical ways to work with your energy, attention, and nervous system
Each session is guided by structured resources that we work through together. This helps keep the process clear, focused, and supportive.
What This Coaching Is and Isn’t
This coaching is:
• structured and guided
• grounded in psychoeducation and lived experience
• focused on clarity, understanding, and practical strategies
This coaching is not:
• therapy
• crisis support
• a quick fix or transformation programme
What You Can Expect to Gain
This work is not about changing who you are in 10 weeks.
Instead, it is about building something more sustainable and long-lasting.
You are unlikely to completely change in 10 weeks of coaching. What you can gain, though, is a deeper understanding of how your brain, nervous system, and patterns work. That understanding can stay with you long after the coaching itself has ended.
